I think having an affair when you are married and breaking your vows shows an utter lack of honor. I think a mother putting her selfish desires over her children’s happiness and security is unconscionable. I don’t think anybody who behaves thusly should be granted a position of honor.
However, it is really none of my business. William and Harry, who were impacted seem to have established a relationship with her. If they can forgive her, and wish for her to be acknowledged in this matter, I think their wishes should be respected. Moreover, the British monarch, as I understand it is largely a ceremonial position and the consort has even less power. Finally, I think as foul as Charles and Camilla behaved in their previous marriages, compared to historical precedents set by earlier heads of state (both British and international), their transgressions pale in significance.
I do find it bizarre that the marriage between Charles and Camilla could have been problematic because of their histories of divorce and the future role of Charles as the head of the Church of England when the Church of England was essentially established to allow Henry VIII to divorce and remarry.

LOL
Still waiting on all the evidence that people are upset about this recent announcement. Maybe it's just you. Diana's #1 fan.
Maybe 87% of the UK population thinks her breath stinks. Does it matter why?
It's a poll of Daily Express readers, not the UK population. From last June.
No, it’s a poll of the British public which the tweet explicitly spells out for you. Your reading comprehension needs work.
As does yours. Prove that the people are upset about the Queen's recent announcements. Polls from last year, several months ago, don't make your point.
DP. You're a fool. You really think because it hit New Years 2022 suddenly people's hatred of that woman which has lasted decades suddenly evaporated?

She's been hanging around Charles since the 70s and Diana's been dead since the 90s. She will go to her grave despised and tolerated at best.
I think this sums up how people feel about the royal family in general. But as far as news goes, they have bigger fish to fry like Party Gate than spending too much time thinking about Camilla.
Eghhh you can wage two wars at the same time and what happens when you have a despised King and Queen on the throne with a despised Prime Minister and his third wife at the start of a true economic downturn thanks to Brexit which they've basically been putting on hold for two years? Fun. That's what happens.
Nobody expects Charlies to reign for very long so there isn't a lot of urgency where he is concerned. He might be 80 years old before he's crowned.
The Queen is 95 and as frail as nursing home residents who mysteriously die overnight. I'd be surprised if she makes to her husband's anniversary death date.
Regardless 4 years is more than enough time to wreck a country, let alone the decade I expect he'll rule just like Victoria's son (who wasn't anywhere near as hated).
How can the monarch ruin the country? They have no teeth.
Guess you have no idea it was Queen Elizabeth who ushered in Brexit in the first place when she prorogued Parliament (only the monarch has the power to do so). They don't like talking about that...I wonder why.
That's squarely on Boris Johnson.
Who doesn't have the power to prorogue Parliament. Neither does the President of the United States vis-a-vis Congress or Biden would have done it already just to get rid of Manchin's recalcitrant behind.Benefits of a written Constitution.
