Oh wow, I recognize 5 of the 8 kids currently registered. One is a double reclass and another is a reclass. If my kid was good enough to be all county last year and he was already a reclass, to reclass again this year just seems like overkill. I guess that’s just what’s happening in basketball nowadays.

Only knew a few kids from last years team. Didn’t know Max, so im not sure if he is the same as Maximus.

Obviously they will have more than 8 kids on the team and I am hearing that an additional reclass and an additional double reclass will be added to the roster.

Not sure, but their 7th grade team last year who lost in the championship to Gainesville had a Max. This Max was a good player, but was cut this year to make room for some of the ringers they are bringing in.

Where is all this talent by the time they get to high school. Haven’t heard of McLean or Langley winning any state or even district champs. Haven’t heard of either being ranked in the state, Washington area, or even amongst the top Northern Virginia teams. And don’t see this changing by the time these kids become seniors high and even beyond.

If you feel good about cheating or bending the rules to win County, more power to you.

Which privates do they go to? I don’t know of any college division 1 boys basketball players from McLean. Not even that went to private schools.
McLean may be good in the FCYBL where their power and privilege allows them to bend the rules and cheat, but if we are being realistic, the athletic talent pool in McLean is not superior to the other areas of Fairfax County. I actually believe it’s on the weaker side.
