Pretty sure Landon is the regular season IAC champ based on its head to head victory over Bullis.

Churchill can feel good about Post rankings but all these kids play club ball and they know that Churchill does not belong on same field as the privates.

Newest national rankings up. SSSAS at 6, Visi at 8 and, as predicted after falling to Glenelg, BI falls to 13 (still not shabby tho)

On boys side Bullis and Landon no where to be found. Only Gonzaga is ranked from the DC area schools (well and PVI but they don’t count as a DC area team imo)

So there ya go.

Yes to St. Andrews. Great coaching and developing a legit lax culture with good athletes and D1 commits including one guy going to Albany.

For perspective, Churchill with all their D-1 guys lost to a 9th grade (but very, very good) club team in the Next Level fall championship game. The 9th grade team consisted of players from mostly IAC programs

Churchill is "best in class" for local publics, but the fact is that IAC is a totally different ball game than Montgomery public lax

Well... those teams will win their conferences - BI the WCAC girls and SSSAS the IAC (Visi has a chance but its a long shot). AND more importantly, the top ranked national teams will have invitations ad opportunities to play in some tournaments that dont come to non-ranked etams.

As much of as an Iac fan as I am, nobody has played well enough to be highly ranked nationally. Whoever winds the wcac probably deserves some mention. Although this is a down year in terms of national rankings, the parity and balance has been great for the area.

PVI and Gonzaga are in the same league WCAC.

Moving day in IAC.
Churchill has several great players but simply cannot compete with probates. In past year Vhurchill usually schedules one or two privates and ends up getting smoked. I guess this year Churchill wanted to live in a bubble and not play a good private so the team can feel good anout going undefeated for the regular season. I think this does a disservice to the players and will also hurt come tourney time.

the only private Churchill has played in years past has been Landon and the Heights.

don't forget that churchill is undefeated btw.

When did Churchill go private. Other than Bullis <kidding>, there are no DC area public schools that are worth talking about here.

Nobody came close to landon last year. That was a freak team. Churchill is a good team.
Too bad there’s not a tournament at the end that matches public, iac , wcac and Mac teams. St. Andrews is great this year.
