It's not still mourning. She's in black because it's a papal Mass. Catholic queens wear all-white, everyone else wears all black.

And yes, you are allowed to wear lipstick at the Vatican. Every other woman had their hair done and makeup on.

It’s the white hair growing in. It makes Usha look old plus the no makeup makes her look washed out. If I were her, I’d pay a makeup artist to teach me how to do a fast pulled together look; nothing too heavy bc that’s not her style and I applaud that. She also has darkening around her eyes, which makes her eyes look sunken. I actually think she’s totally cute but a tube of lipstick would go a long way to brighten her face. She does have a beautiful skin tone and pretty features; just needs a little more polish!
