What you can do is work to get persuadable or checked-out voters to understand the consequences and get them to cancel her vote.
There is hope. There's currently a woman running in a Special election for Alabama house. She is a pro-choice Christian woman running to push back on Alabama's no-acceptions abortion ban. I've spoken with members of her church. Not all "good, southern Christians" are anti-abortion. We need to support these candidates and forget ppl like your SIL.
Consider contributing to her campaign. Polls have her ahead! A Democrat winning in deep red Alabama provides a permission structure for others to follow.

I would argue that the vast majority of traditional Christians are like this. It is just the radicalized Evangelicals that are akin to the radical Muslims like The Taliban, that are the issue.

Most republican and MAGA women are in complete denial, because they don't think any GOP policy actually applies to them.
Unfortunately I have several friend slike this and apparently their plan is to fool around and find out. I don't think it will change until they, or their daughters and granddaughters die or lose their fertility or just opt out of ever having any children at all because the risk is too great.

They want trump to be president. That is more important to them than having fertility treatments available to infertile people. It's not ignorant. It's a poor choice.
And they will probably raise that IVF baby to vote for the party that does not even want he or she to exist. Irony.

I’m assuming that you have kindly explained that her embryo could be at risk due to law republicans are passing. Show her the Alabama ruling and say, this isn’t your state but it could be. What fertility expert or embryologists is going to want to risk operating in a red state? There are so many infertility cases.. these pros can go operate in a blue state and not have the risks of a place like Alabama
Something like 40 percent of infertility is caused by a male factor so understand that boys. You are also out of luck in Alabama. So sorry

Ridiculous. Try harder. Trump put 3 justices on the supreme Court that he knew would overturn roe. They did it and now you lost your protected right to make reproductive decisions for yourself. That is easy to understand and not doing so is willful ignorance.
