We’ve always been concerned about abuses and due process. Clearly Democrats feel this should be cherry-picked.

I said upthread that they were okay with abuses in prisons, with a slow moving justice system and everything else because it was happening to other people. Surprise. Injustice affects us all.
Though I have to say I’m less bothered by it when it’s happening to people who tried to overthrow the government.
How dare the wheels of justice move so slow for white men. I’m outraged that jail is so jail-like. Where’s the turn down service?! Well I never!!!

PP here, he should never have been denied the medication, that was wrong and I’m glad it’s been remedied. The rest of the stuff the fiancée is babbling about??
What is your personal knowledge? Not some RWNJ article. Jail sucks. Don’t go to jail.
I agree that he shouldn’t have been denied medication. It sounds like he’s doing better now that he’s home. His fiancé said they need lawyers. Why don’t they hire lawyers if they need them? That doesn’t make sense. Was the entire facility shut down, if they’re poisoning everyone’s food, or was she perhaps lying?
That prison is notorious for abuse. His income earning potential was destroyed and they can’t afford a lawyer. Furthermore, we know lawyers know their career and family are at risk if they dare take the case.
That’s BS and again, federal public defenders are excellent and free.
Really now?

Give me a break. These rioters have been afforded due process, and I’m not particularly sympathetic to their impatience when it comes to a trial.
No, they have not

Worrell is the defendant. The judge released him to receive treatment after the jail in DC failed inspection. Most of the 1/6 defendants are housed at another facility, and that one passed inspection. Worrnell’s fiancé said they were poisoning the inmates’ food and denying them 1A protections. I’m not sure what that means, but Worrell was denied necessary medical care, per the judge’s order.
Boohoo. He probably should not have participated in trying to overthrow an election.
Agree. As a diabetic, I know very well that going to jail is incredibly dangerous, and for many diabetics, crippling or fatal. That's not the main reason I don't commit crimes, but it's some additional encouragement.
If you're sick, don't go to jail. You'll get much worse there. This is common knowledge.
I’m sure if you were denied your insulin, you’d feel differently
So you’re saying you would support increasing federal funding and de-privatizing prisons in order to ensure all inmates get quality health care?
