Nobody has a problem with Persian people and its long history. The Persian people will exist for a thousand more and hopefully be celebrated again.
Instead, we have a problem with its current deranged regressive, oppressive and murderous regime that has only existed since 1979 and absolutely should not still exist in 2029.
Current Iran didn't exist before 1979 and current China didn't exist before 1949. Talk of "thousands of years old" doesn't make much sense when they've essentially thrown most of it away with "cultural revolutions" - whether Khomeini's or Mao's.

These nuts appear to make no distinction between the hard line government and the population l despite the protests. Of course the US has now significantly weakened the protestors and guaranteed the hardliners power.

How so? The hardliners tools and machinery for oppression have been significantly degraded and many of their leaders have been killed - and those remaining are currently looking over their shoulders for incoming drones and missiles.

These nuts appear to make no distinction between the hard line government and the population l despite the protests. Of course the US has now significantly weakened the protestors and guaranteed the hardliners power.
And have possibly pushed the reformers closer to the regime and/or weakened their resolve. This would be an excellent time for the the ayatollah to pledge to examine opening of society, thus cementing the current regime's longevity for another generation.

Iran bombed a US oil refinery in Texas killing 1,000 factory workers and caused a brush fire burning down neighboring apartment complexes, power lines, and trees . Oil spill is now running in the Gulf of Mexico. The burn center and hospital nearby was also bombed.

It looks like we got FAFO’d though. Iran retaliating with cheap Chinese missiles that burned down all our billion dollar radars and penetrated past that iron dome means our tech is either bad or extremely overpriced or Iran’s self made missiles are really good
