I don't remember those... lol, but at least in that case, the U.S. was at war; now it is just crazies acting like the U.S. is fighting a war.
I dont think they are crazies. You want kids like that on your side. If this were WW2, they would angrily protest against the US collaboration with Nazis and things like Hitler being made Time Mag’s Person of the Year pre-war.
It’s about fighting for the underdogs.
That’s the true American spirit.
If Israel went through a U.S. sanctioned war right now where 50k people were killed in less than a year and there’s a significant amount of Jews in American academia and life, there would absolutely be protests against the US’s involvement.

Now I don't condone vandalism...but until their voices are heard....college campuses will continue this.
You make it seem like colleges have never seen a protest before. If it wasn't for this it'd be for something else. You don't see vandalism everyday, but that's a problem for the colleges.
Last year was not normal college protesting.
Most colleges have spent the summer figuring out what's going to work. And what's not. The NYTimes had a good article about it.
There's always going to be a space for free speech within certain parameters. Cross the lines, and colleges are making it pretty clear they will be swift and merciless with the suspensions and expulsions.
As they should be.
Universities allowed the protests to mutate into a hostile learning environment for Jewish students.
An antiSemitic environment of hate.

Good. Keep it up until the U.S. stops funding the Zionist perverts.
