The usual arrogant, self-righteous "i'm right about everything" attitude along with a healthy dose of uncaring sociopathy and the notion of just trying to shout everyone else down rather than actually listening to their genuine and legitimate concerns.
You just described a leftist, sorry.

So why do you think the GOP is so clueless about this issue being a huge loser for them at the ballot box?

The majority of MAGA don't believe anything that doesn't support their world-view. They are selective in their beliefs and aren't willing to be convinced otherwise.
You' d be surprised. Ever have a heart to heart with one? an honest discussion?

I have. They’re mad but they don’t seem to know why they’re mad. Their stated reasons never hold up.

This guy is a pretty good example of that: https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2024/01/22/new-hampshire-primary-voter-00136850

The author of this piece was interviewed on the Bulwark podcast today. It was incredibly disturbing.

I don’t do podcasts. Would you mind giving a synopsis?

Did not hear the podcast but the article does not discuss abortion at all. This guy is among the voters that does not figure abortion into his vote in any way apparently or at least not enough to bother to mention it in an article about the 2024 election.

It does not seem to matter how many times the message is sent in special elections that this issue is critical and motivating and will drive voters turnout and impact the 2024 election. For this voter and many others like him, it just does not exist as an issue. I suspect that even after the 2024 election is over and done with and the pro choice candidate has won, this type of voter will still be unable to grasp the importance of this issue.

Geee, I cannot understand why an entitled white guy couldn't fathom why abortion would be an issue.

shrug

(sarcasm, for those who need the explanation)

He has three children...why doesn't he get an earful about it from them or his wife?

Dang that’s a good ad. That’s a very good ad.

The reply to this is infuriating,;

"There are good, God-fearing couples who are standing in line to adopt white babies. Plus, this girl will learn from mistakes and won't have sex again until she's married!". If it's rape or incest, well, "she must have done something and brought this on herself."

I grew up with people who think this way. I rarely see them but when I do we keep the conversation to the weather.

The cruelty among forced birthers is really something else.

The thing that makes this guy a complete alien to me is that he talks about being angry because of lack of accountability and how the rules are the rules, and then it completely escapes him that Trump breaks rules and is never held accountable -- or his supporters freak out when attempts are made to old him accountable, and then this guy plans to vote for the unaccountable rule breaker anyway.

Here is the transcript. The interview was more about how Trump has will abuse the legal system, and then they talk about this guy as more of a symbol of America.

If people were chess pieces, then this would make sense. But people aren't chess pieces, it doesn't work like this.

Except for the occasional pocket, every city in every developed country is facing declining birth rates and an aging population and what to do about it. Banning abortion is not the solution, other countries have already tried it and it didn't work.
