My Cigna ppo plan says they’re covering it, but it had to go to review once I submitted the Rx at CVS. A week later, I received a letter saying they would cover it. Of course, actually getting the Rx filled is an even bigger problem, so I’m in limbo.

Yeah, I'm worried about this.

Rapid weight loss and extreme calorie deprivation (the kind that would lead to losing 20% of body weight in 4 months) causes hair loss. It’s not the Ozempic. Happens to folks who get weight loss surgery too.

Do HRT instead.

HRT oesn't reverse peri weight loss caused by a metabolic slowdown.

The reality is that in LA and NYC, a lot of people taking Oz/Wegovy have BMI under 25. Maybe some of them will open up on this anonymous board.

I’ve been on Mounjaro since mid-July and have lost more than 15% of my body weight. Could not be happier. A1C also back to normal. i went up to 7.5 but side effects worsened so now I am back at 2.5. YMMV. Insurance covers it fully for me and I was prescribed by one of the telehealth providers.

I got a scrip over the summer but while fighting with my insurance I used a sample pen. Might be worth asking if they have any, the sample pen lasted me over 2 months.

This was me. I gained a lot of weight with menopause. Was on Wegovy for 7 months. The only weight loss I experienced was from the barfing for two days every 6 days.

Another troll. The med professional will not write script for normal BMI with normal A1C.

Insurers have different formularies so you really need to call and ask. I have a Cigna plan that doesn’t cover it, even with obesity and 1 mitigating factor, but does offer a “special price” of about $680 a month. But your plan could be different.
