There is a TON of evidence that there is NO benefit to milk other than mother's milk.

Moms who are so out of the mainstream that they go to anonymous boards to post ridiculous statements against MILK. Get a grip.

To: anti-milk mom

Are you planning on breastfeeding until your child is 16?

To: doctors

How do you recommend a child get their calcium? Boy, I feel so dumb.....all these years and I thought milk was good for you! Can't wait to tell mom and grandma that they were wrong, too!

Milk from cows also has a lot of trans fat (naturally occurring).

I am also a physician, there is no evidence that children that do not drink milk are at any increased risk for diseases including osteoporosis, or malnutrition of any kind.
Too much milk can lead to iron deficiency anemia.
Too much milk with meals can lead to early satiety, and lower intake of varied solid foods, with other nutrients.

I'm a physician. Milk has lots of protein and is available in both high and lowfat versions. Unless your kids are allergic or diabetic, it's probably good for them.
