Congrats to them but I find it odd that the tournament put them in the same group in the top division. Should have had the two local teams on opposite sides. Maybe the team managers can shoot an email to ask for that. I think that's a reasonable request. Anyway...good luck.
Tough to make everyone happy I guess. In other news, major upset yesterday as Pipeline took a loss to FC Delco. I didn’t see that coming.

they look better than vda. How much did VDA lose by in their game against NC Courage?
Score has not been reported yet. Looks like the two get to battle it out this weekend anyway.

Seems Arlington parents are pretty confident going into next year. That's great but do any of you really think you are on the same level as Loudoun?
I firmly stick by my feelings about FCV. The only thing that could change that is if the play-ups come back on age and we all know that is not going to happen.
VDA is the only big question as to what kind of player pool they were able to get, I honestly don't know but they usually have strong teams moving into 11v11.
As for Maryland, Pipeline took the top Baltimore Union Players and the best Celtic players went to Baltimore Armour. So yes, Celtic Union GA is going to struggle. Baltimore Armour will be the top GA team in the DMV.
Metro will be middle of the pack, again, pending the current '09 play-ups. If those players do not play on age, Metro could very well be below FCV. Great Falls did not have a great season and I do not know how many are making the change to Metro or moving to other Clubs.
Prediction:
1. Loudoun ECNL
2. Bethesda ECNL
3. Virginia Union ECNL (McLean)
4. Pipeline ECNL
5. VDA ECNL
6. Baltimore Armour GA
7. Arlington ECNL
8. Coppermine Premier
9. VYS
10. PPA Green
11. MD United ECNL
12. Metro United GA
13. Loudoun Red
14. FC Virginia GA
15. Celtic Union GA
Feel free to post your own prediction.
Post Labor Day OPINION Rankings based on Fall Season performances this fall:
1. Loudoun ECNL (6-0 thus far, wins over Bethesda and VDA)
2. Pipeline ECNL (Nothing on record)
2. Bethesda ECNL (Win over VDA, 2-1 loss to Loudoun)
4. Virginia Union ECNL (Blowouts over small clubs, here say)
5. VDA ECNL (Tie with Loudoun, 2-0 loss vs Bethesda, 2-0 win over Armour)
6. Arlington ECNL (2-0 win over Armour, loss to Real Jersey)
7. Baltimore Armour GA (Losses to VDA and Arlington)
8. PPA Green (Winner of OBGC top division)
9. Coppermine Premier (Finalist at OBGC, win over Maryland United)
10. FC Virginia GA (Finalist in OBGC 2008 3rd Bracket)
League play starts next weekend. WAGS on Columbus day weekend. I'll probably throw up another post when YSR Rankings are updated to current games but that will be it until after Columbus Day.

Imagine being so upset about not knowing a youth soccer score.
The only person that seemed to be upset was the parent who was offended by another parent asking about scores. So, imagine being so bitter that you don’t want anyone to know the results of other Club teams.
Sheesh.
And yet nobody has answered you and you keep asking anyway.
Imagine thinking you even matter to anyone.

Anonymous wrote:Maryland teams are way over-rated! Not only did we (Loudoun) crush Pipeline in the scrimmage over the weekend, we also won Division 1 EDP with mostly Maryland teams by total of 28 GF to 3 GA. I don't even think Pipeline would finish in the middle of EDP Division I.
As for Bethesda and Maryland United, if we were able to beat Pipeline the way we did, we would probably beat those other teams 10-0 each! Free ride to Jeff Cup final in a couple of weeks.
Oh, and for that FCV Parent, we played your 09s too. We won 4-0 in a game that should have been double that. Heck, your 09s even finished last in EDP and below Alexandria's team. This is your top team. Future not looking good for FCV. And don't think you are going to steal our players either. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before our 2008 team is superior to yours, not to mention BP is scared to play our 07s.
Have a great day!
