Cornell RD hasn't come out yet. If it's an ED decision, why haven't you pulled your other applications? Also, ND is restrictive early action which wouldn't be allowed given the Cornell ED application.
Really? hasn's come out for you...
This special invitation is extended to you because of your strong academic and personal record and because you will be admitted to Cornell University’s Class of 2023.
...You are cordially invited to join us for :

Congratulations on your admission to the University of Notre Dame as well as your interest in the College of Engineering!
I have included in this email an e-booklet link here that will provide you with additional information about all our programs. The Notre Dame curriculum is somewhat unique in that you do not have to declare a specific major during your first year. Instead, we provide you with the opportunity to learn about engineering...
I do not need to lie plus I have full ride scholarships in 3 of the 4 schools
No one accused you of lying, they accused you of being unethical.

It’s too late!
Yep top private’s are worth it. Top private’s defined as 60% go to a top 30 univ or top 10 lac. If your kid do not make the cut and 60% of the class did, it’s your kid. To me if 25-30% are going Ivy and my kids not, it’s my kid too. I think it’s extremely hard to be one of the top 3-5 students but top half or third requires effort not brilliance. So for us it has been worth it.
Would you please expand on this? DC is at a top private (9th grade) and is having a tough year getting adjusted, but I also recognize that she's not putting forth the effort I think it will take to succeed. Assuming she gets her act together and stays there to graduate, I'm curious as to what realistic expectations are, based on your theory. She'll never be in the top 25% but I'm hopeful for top 50 - 75%.
