She has 3 sons & 2 daughters (birth order: DS1, DS2, DD1, DD2, DS3), one of her daughters was a National Merit Scholar who turned down Brown for one of the state universities in Florida (I can't remember which one), her oldest son is married & a father, she is around 50 & stopped working outside the home when she had her oldest when she was in her early 20s, she & her kids are all thin despite not eating DCUM-approved diets, she obviously thinks most parents today are too soft, she lives in VA....I could go on & on due to how extremely often she seemed to post for a while, often repeating the same personal details she shared in previous posts.
Yes!! She is annoying.
Any links to her?

I picture him as a middle aged white man about 5’5” and thin, balding in front but with longer hair in back, and overall squirrelly and rat-like in appearance and mannerisms.
Arlington mom is distinctive for sure.
She must be from GBCN, because they all share one brain over this issue!
What is GBCN?
The thing with Arlington mom that makes her memorable is that she's blind to her own privilege while lecturing others about theirs. There's such a broad disconnect between what she posts and what she lives.

Hello? Best thread ever!
Totally agree! I am glad I have not shown up![]()
I was kind of hoping to have shown up!

You really think only one person uses that word?

Should’ve have married DH, shouldn’t have had kids etc.
yes -- don't know if that is one poster but its insidious.
Is this the same as “Divorce.” poster?
DH leaves the toilet seat up. Divorce
DH gets mad at DD. Divorce
DH is friendly with our realtor. Divorce.
OMG yes. The "I'd be talking to a divorce lawyer if my DH did XYZ poster." 99% of the US population would be divorced if we followed her advice.
Eh I'm not this poster but I have to say that like ~ 90% of the women who post about their man child husbands should divorce them and find better men, ones who are at least trainable. You shouldn't have to do the majority of the house and kid stuff and work just because you have a vagina.

I point this out because she uses the mom of 5 title as a bit of a cudgel and definitely as a measuring stick, but she is really a mom of 3 who married a dad of 2, and together they have 5.
I think there are (somewhat oddly) two moms of 5 who frequently post the fact that they have five kids on DCUM.
One is the biological mother if all five kids, still lives in the DC area (in NoVA) & has not worked outside the ho.e since her oldest was born.
The other is the stepmother of some of the kids, was a SAHM for several years but returned to work when her youngest was in middle school, & used to live in the DC area but has since moved to Florida (& stopped WOH due to the move).
Both have grown/almost grown children who apparently were never allowed to behave as horribly as most DCUM posters' kids are allowed to behave.
Yes, there is more than one. One of them very specifically lists out her kids ages frequently and I don't think she is very kind to struggling new moms on DCUM. The other one has some that are step-kids. They share a certainty about parenting that I recognize, as a child of a big family myself.
I am a third mom of 5. I am relieved to say that I am not the first one (nor the second, but she seems to have a higher approval rating) above. Every once in a blue moon I have signed as Mom of 5 when I think that a young mom is being too self-focused and not showing a wide enough perspective about the child or family dynamics; however, I will never again sign as Mom of 5 now that I've read about the first one.
