I'm sorry, but the money people make is "inspiring"? How about the actual work people are doing to earn that money? Do you have anything to say about the teachers and social workers making in the $40K range? Their ANNUAL salary is less than what some people on this thread get as a BONUS. Think about that. And frankly, what isn't stated on here but I have seen IRL is that most of the people with the high salaries got there partly because they knew someone. So while some may look at this thread as a guide for what kind of job to pursue for high pay, I think it's misleading. In my own life, I've seem very sub-par people who make high salaries. It took a while for me to realize that most of those people had some sort of foot in the door (a relative, a friend, they made the right contact at the right time).
A more interesting and telling thread would be one devoted to, how did you REALLY get to your current salary/job.
