Is it bad that I was opening this thread I was saying to myself "Please don't be about the kids, please let's hope we haven't stooped that low..."

Because all those references to detachables are actual nasty references to "others?" No argument about uselessness, and one can debate the "appropriateness" of some (ok, maybe most) of the humor in the thread, but with some exceptions earlier in the 26 page saga, you are confusing silliness with nastiness / un-supportiveness. Maybe you could use some remedial education in reading comprehension?
