Very few native DC Catholics send their kids to Independent schools. If they don't send them to a Catholic high school, then they will send them to a public school.

That is how it is here in DC.

I tihnk its only the Gonzaga and Prep alums who are the ones who are so obessed with where a Catholic familiy sends their child for HS.

The poster who continues to rant on this topic must not have had a very sucessful career or must be verry bored if he is that infatuated with where Catholic families send their children.

Look at their head of school. - he is way under-qualified

The new headmaster was pretty much forced out of Marquette.

The school as seen an influx of Asian families who can pay beyond just full tuition since the school can't seem to fill itself the way it used to.

DS shadowed at GP. Wasn't his cup of tea. He loved GZ and SJC. My wallet and I are grateful for this.

Ignore this fool. Just a jealous Gonzaga dad. He's clueless.

GP is sinking. If you have a choice, save your money and go for GZ.

It looks like the schools has a huge virginia presence.

Gonzaga really does pull in kids from all areas around the beltway due it's proximity to smack down in the city and every single metro line leads to union station.

College matriculation list is good but not eye opening - it pulls in a wide range on the academic spectra.

I do think some of the brightest / smartest kids at Gonzaga could be able to hack it out at a sidwell, STA etc etc.

Of course they could hack it. The difference is that Gonzaga serves a community and not a narrow slice of the rest of DC.
