There are 100s of teams that send girls to D1, it’s not surprising at all when you only pick 4 years. Plenty of m&d all americans this year, not many from
Heros, but that will change over the next couple of years.
It was a five year look back (not four). And sorry but it is surprising -- M&D and Hero's consistently rank as the nation's top high school club teams yet they aren't sending players to teams that win it all. One from Hero's over five years? Just four from M&D? Those numbers should be way higher. What happened?

Yes. My OP (that they're 4th graders) was shorthand. That the poster may want to take a step back and evaluate the crazy. In a normal world, you'd see a gentile discussion on 3rd, 4th and 5th graders playing sports. The before and after of our respective posts of course proves otherwise when it comes to MD/DC area and their lacrosse parents. A special breed. Entertaining, though it is.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:"Another group that doesn't want to play for the machine." Or did I miss something?
They obviously mean the parents. Fallston High School is a perennial power as well.

I guess not if you are affiliated with the Top Teams - you just want to lord over the idiot commoners - and trash anyone who dares to challenge the status quo. Get real!
It's generally good for the growth of a sport if there is more parity, competition, opportunity.
If some of these people would have their way, it'd be the same 5 teams playing each other over and over and over again (shit sometimes it's like that now)
The truth is there are different programs for different people, different coaches, different expectations, different philosophies. Some work for some some, some don't. But to trash clubs, players and coaches, just a bunch of cope.
Grow up.

Yes, M&D is dominant now in middle school but things can change very quickly.

They’re extremely deep. Try to shut one down and here comes the next 2. They move the ball incredibly well. The defense is shutdown and 2 very talented goalies. Say what you will, it’s a great team!!
Enthusiastic Hoco dads. 🤮 No one is saying it’s not a very good team.
By the way, how do you know if any goalies are talented when the field players are Gods of lacrosse and the competition is the likes of Lanco (who), Pride NOVA (who), Bluestar (who) and HLC Limelight (who) in their upcoming tournament? How many shots on goal will there be in these games? How often will the ball be in their opponent’s offensive half?
So your argument is that no one can know whether these goalies are actually good because of the upcoming tournament they haven't yet played in?
So cutesy. 🤮
You claim your team is the next coming, which we presume means they completely dominate possession against 34 teams and it’s always on your offensive half. How many shots on goal do they get? You can count up this weekend’s tournament for us! Or look at another tourney or NGLL (18 goals against, how many shots on goal).
Don’t care about the goalies but love your lofty view of every ounce of the team. All Chloe Humphreys! Anyone suck or mid? I see they are holding tryouts and had open practices.

Even if my kid was the most talented, teaching them to play for a club with morals seems more important than what happens at M&D. Spreading lies, paying 5th graders tuition to get them to leave their teams, nope nope nope. What is happening? Try to justify all you want. Your 1,000 commits 10 years ago isn’t impressive anymore. I just saw CheckHers post something like “you can get there from here.” That kind of environment just seems much better. Recruiting coaches will tell you, you can get there from anywhere. Don’t fall for the sales pitch.
I don’t believe the PE firm who owns M&D will allow them to pay $10k+ in tuition. And most private school are closer to $30k. There’s no way.

Hahaha, you can have your feel good story, m&d will take its national championships and 1000s of recruits.
Here's a list of M&D players on national championship teams from the past five years (vs other top teams):
NW 2026
Skywalkers 3
M&D 0
Capital 1
Hero's 0
UNC 2025
Skywalkers 1
M&D 1
Capital 1
Hero's 0
BC 2024
Skywalkers 0
M&D 2
Capital 1
Hero's 0
NW 2023
Skywalkers 1
M&D 0
Capital 0
Hero's 0
UNC 2022
Skywalkers 7
M&D 1
Capital 1
Hero’s 1
Total number of players on national championship teams over past 5 years:
Skywalkers = 12
M&D = 4
Capital = 4
Hero's = 1
That M&D has the same number of players as Capital on these teams is crazy. Hero’s with just 1 is wild.
I think what you're basically showing us with these numbers is that more and more players on these national championship teams do not come from this area. That's the trend with these few data points.

You’re using a plural when it’s focused trashing.How do you know who is trashing HOCO? It’s a universal reaction to them. It may even be those with a connection or experience with Century HS. If I was gathering evidence from the thread, though, I’d call MDU the likely guilty party. Yet you don’t name them!
No one has had a negative word to say about FLC 2034 or Broadneck 2034, two great teams that are not top clubs.
