you are saying ut like having a racist in teh WH wasn't the norm- I would argue that Eisenhower (made more probable if his mother was "passing like it is alleged but even those who passed allowed their kids to have racist beliefs b.c they couldn't challenge the fiction of their "whiteness') , George W Bush (God help me ) and Obama are the only non-racist presidents we've ever had, products of their ages and experiences.
I'm saying it like our president is an overt, blatant, unapologetic racist and it is normalized. I am not too old, but I cannot remember any president in my lifetime openly and blatantly displaying his racism.
Half of American voters voted for this idiot. Haven’t you figured out by now half of Americans are racist.

I'm French and this is one of the headlines on French TV today. The French evening news even did a little summary of all the racist things Trump said as President.
Judging from that media response, probably no one anywhere in the world believes that this was a mistake or a fun little caper.
Exactly...and it was Trump, not a staffer.
Sad that people will believe it’s a staffer.
If it really was a staffer, shouldn’t the White House provide the name of this person? Why isn’t the media asking for this info?
This is the staff that manages Trump's social media presence:
Alex Bruesiwitz (X Strategies)
Trump War Room staff on X
Steven Cheung
Karoline Leavitt
Alex Pfeiffer
Taylor Budowich
And none of them would be using Trump's Truth Social account to post racist memes at 2 am.
Whether he posted it himself or someone under him is irrelevant. If it was indeed an error, a lapse in judgement by someone under him, then most normal people would immediately remove it and express sincere apologies, rather than blaming someone.
Such an embarrassment of a president.

The list of harms are so harmful and longer than one could imagine…..
- Horribly racist video, denial that it’s offensive then blaming a staffer
- Grab em by the…
- Mock disabled NYT reporter with a congenital condition at a rally…
- Quiet Piggy
- protecting pardoning insurrectionists and convicted and accused pedophiles
- Many dead and one woman in prison from all the harm inflicted contained in the Epstein and Trump files

It may also nudge sone more republicans to leave office, possibly creating opportunities for Dems.
+1
The other positive is that we have found at least one line that the country will not cross. Wish the pushback had been more robust but at the end of the day it was taken down and we didn’t have the usual spin of:
Didn’t happen
Wasn’t Trump
Doesn’t mean what you think it does
So what if it’s racist, this is what the country voted for
It’s a shamefully low bar but perhaps it has been found.

All of this was very publicly recorded information. Tons of people work overseas and Obama was far from the first person with a parent who wasn't a citizen and a family that worked overseas. It was just racial targeting and conspiracy theory to suggest the target was the liar not Trump who made the whole thing up. He was testing the waters to see how gullible and racist Americans were. A decade later here we are. Till people start speaking out, we will continue to live in a world of actions based on lies.
Until white Americans speak out, we will continue to live in a racist world.
I'm white and told anybody who would listen to vote against Trump all three times he ran. But here we are.
