As we look ahead to the 2026–2027 season, the culture we are driving toward — fueled by our leadership’s clear vision to restore our Girls Soccer Program to national prominence — is rooted in transparency, alignment, and a clear path forward for your daughters and for our players.

First, thank you.

Your commitment, belief, and daily investment in your daughters is what drives this program. We do not take that lightly. We are grateful for your trust and for the opportunity to lead and develop your daughters within a world-class environment at The St. James.

As part of our planning for the 2026–2027 season, in conjunction and agreement with the Girls Academy the Girls Academy on Friday late afternoon, February 20, TSJ FC Girls Academy (U13–U19) will compete in the Girls Academy Aspire Division for the 2026–2027 season.

We want to communicate with honesty and transparency as we move into this next chapter. Our goal is for every family to have clear visibility into what the 2026–2027 season will look like and how we are intentionally building an enhanced pathway. We are using this moment to amplify the Aspire pathway and the overall Academy landscape for our athletes — competitively, developmentally, and from a recruiting and exposure standpoint.

After a comprehensive evaluation of our competitive landscape and long-term objectives, we believe this provides a strong environment that aligns with our commitment to high-level development and sustained success. Our responsibility is not simply to participate at a national level — it is to position our players in environments where they can develop, compete with confidence, gain meaningful momentum, and win. Development is most powerful when it is paired with belief, consistency, and opportunity.

We know how to be successful on the pitch and are confident in our ability to develop, compete, and advance our players at a high level. If we are all truly honest with ourselves, we may have desired or been led to believe different outcomes, but the truth is, a reset is the only viable option for long term stability within the program and athlete, on and off the field. Let us show them why you originally chose TSJ, or why you originally came to the IDs. Look at the attention the TSJ soccer program has grabbed in the community after the last month, imagine what 6 months can look like, 12 months, and so on. We are returning to the place The St. James belongs, nationally dominate.
Amplifying the Aspire Pathway

For 2026–2027, we are intentionally building a powerhouse Aspire schedule supported by additional elite competition and recruiting platforms. This includes EDP league play and premier national showcases such as Vegas and PDA — events that regularly draw 500–1,000 college coaches and provide significant exposure regardless of league affiliation.

This strategic competitive window will:

Deliver meaningful, high-stakes games
Forge consistent team success and winning habits
Build unbreakable player confidence
Ignite lasting recruiting momentum
Position TSJ as a national force for years to come

As part of this enhanced pathway, we are launching our first-ever The St. James Open Combine for U17/U19 players. This event will bring together local Girls Academy, ECNL, and collegiate coaches — creating an intimate, high-impact identification and recruiting environment for your daughters. This is only for committed St. James players.
Communication & Vision Meeting

We know there will be thoughtful questions about competition structure, recruiting pathways, exposure opportunities, and how we are building this next chapter for your daughters and for our players.

To help directly address our vision, we are hosting The St. James Girls Academy Vision Day for all prospective players — including returning families and those who have received offers through our ID Sessions — to walk through the 2026–2027 season in detail, provide full transparency into our plans, and answer any questions.

We will review the complete competitive calendar, recruiting strategy, exposure platforms, and long-term pathway we are building for every age group within the Girls Soccer Program.

Adam Baumgardner, Director of Soccer, and Elyse Graziano, Head of Sports, will join to help share the vision and outline the path forward.

We will host this meeting in person on Friday morning at 8:00 AM over breakfast at The St. James and will also provide a virtual option for families unable to attend in person.

As a parent of four boys, I commend and respect each and every one of our current TSJ players and the adversity you have watched your daughters overcome. I cannot fully put into words what that resilience represents. What I can say is this: it would be an honor to show them they never have to experience that again — it would be reckless to promise they will never experience adversity again, however we can demonstrate the value of facing adversity, growing through it, and staying the course when you are close to reaping the rewards.

We believe deeply in this program, in this community, and in your daughters. We are excited about the direction of our Girls Soccer Program and the opportunity to continue building something truly special together.

With commitment and clarity,

While no email is perfect and STJ certainly has made mistakes, this at least seems like a good reset.

Is that typo in the original? Good lord, does anyone spell check?

We? Who is we? Way to take no accountability.

The good news is there are plenty of other GA clubs to go play. Why in the world would any player choose TSJ Aspire when they could be at SYC/VRSC/LS/NVA/Mclean all of which have Aspire and GA? They should have just scrapped the girls program altogether which is what will happen anyway. We now know the answer to how long does it take to destroy a top girls soccer program.

Yes and some of those teams are already on the same level as the current STJ teams. The kids moving would at least have the opportunity to move up to GA in the future.

Your last sentence shows you are not informed. They cant even get access to the facility because it is a for profit entity and there isnt enough profit in girls soccer. Second, they are a club spread all over nova and predominately practice out west. That said, it is just impractical across the board. This is what happens when to buy into for-profit organizations. The issue is parents are not informed. TSJ is just doing what is expected.
