That would likely turn down the temperature and force a shared commitment.

The USA will purchase Greenland from both Denmark & from the 57,000 citizens of Greenland.
If a purchase is refused, The USA will occupy Greenland, develop Greenland, and enrich not only America, but also Greenlanders and the country of Denmark.
Our current President sees the future in a clear and realistic manner.

Greenland is needed for the long-term defense of the USA, the Western Hemisphere, and of the EU.
If NATO is to stay intact, the USA must have Greenland. Failure of Greenlanders & Denmark to make a deal with the USA will result in the USA withdrawing from NATO. The USA doesn't need NATO anywhere near as much as the other NATO countries need the USA.
Please. You're all so insufferable with your puffed up chest and your little boy legs.

Expansionism. Ever since the USA was founded, leaders have tried to expand the territories. The world order changed post-WWII but the alpha male instinct to take more has never gone away.
I wonder who will run the operations. They’ve already gotten rid of competent leaders in the maga DEI program, and more current senior military leadership is saying that the attack would be illegal. Once we really get to the third string teams I think that we will have lost any advantages that we had, militarily, or at least a lot of it. We really only have to take one look at the economy to see how well it works out when you put loyalists in charge instead of competent people.
Plus, you have a million civilians that work for DoD. How many support Trump and his dementia wars?
I think you overestimate how many senior leaders have left the military or are willing to leave due to unlawful orders. Admiral Alvin Holsey resigned to avoid following illegal orders, but Kegsbreath easily replaced him with another Admiral who was willing to follow the illegal orders. There are probably a lot of Frank Bradley's in the military.
