This is a weird hill to die on. You'd rather put a California kid on here because she plays for a local club than an actual DMV kid that is local but plays for a non-local club.
Weird.
What is weird is putting a commit from an out-of-state club that is not even on the list of the local clubs' recruiting success that is being tracked. And no, it is not weird that the CA kid is on here since she plays for a local club. I think it would be weird to not include her but to put a random local kid who plays for a club several states away on the list when that club is not local and is not being tracked. If you do that, at what point does it stop? Do you track the whole Mass elite team? I'm sure more local girls play for out-of-state clubs, so do we track them as well?
Kids from this area really don't play for out-of-state clubs. This appears to be a different circumstance.
How can you track success from the area if you don't include all kids from the area?
Because they're tracking the success of the clubs, not the area.
Unless you are the person maintaining the list, I don't think you get to decide what they are tracking. I, for one, am a big fan of the list and appreciate tracking local commitments in terms of BOTH club and high school. OP, please keep tracking - we appreciate your work!

FYI, I am one of the people who was maintaining the list...

Because it's not about the kids from the area in general, it's about the commits from the local area clubs...
