He has to live with himself. That's a pretty big punishment. Deep down this guy knows he's a worthless lying POS with no dignity. He decided to actively embrace his fundamental dishonesty. No paycheck is large enough to make up for something one is deeply lacking inside; honesty and integrity. Enjoy your toys, dude.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Well, Ms. Cabot won't have to include a resume going forward when she applies for jobs. She’s single. He’s not. Yet she’s the one who will be punished. Interesting.

I guess they hadn't discussed how to handle if we are on the camera at the public concert. BTW though, as soon as the cam is going around catching people they are dumb enough to stand there embracing? The level of stupidity with all this and then the guy has the balls to say his privacy was invaded.

+1 Discussing with my DH now - would this have gotten the same traction if he hadn’t been a billionaire tech CEO (hated by almost everyone) and a head of HR (also hated by almost everyone)? Like what if it was a dentist and his hygienist?

But hating it because (1) the wife is having to deal with dirty laundry so publicly (2) fallout on the kids and (3) the idiot CEO is doubly blowing up his family because he will probably lose his job and lots of $$ that would be helpful to support the dual household family going forward.

No it wouldn’t have. A big part of the story is that we all know characters like this who we think suck but they act like they are the greatest. Sometimes the universe treats them extra well too.
No one has visceral feelings about dentists in the same way (pain aside). People see him(her) work and know it’s a tough job. Hygienists generally don’t make tons of money and aren’t known for having power.

“The ‘statement from Astronomer CEO Andy Byron’ that’s going around originated with a 50-follower account called ‘Peter Enis.’ As in ‘P. Enis,’” the user wrote.
That account had included “CBS News” in its username, seemingly trying to pose as a reporter for the Tiffany Network.

Amazing, the types that end up leading large groups of people and managing incredible sums of money. It’s why so many of us opt out of leadership. You give your life, for what? To sit in meetings with these two and their kind, day in and out while your kids are growing up with nannies… no thanks (and for the record I’m a professional DW, zero judgment of working moms—or SAH dads).
I think you summed it up perfectly. "These two and their kind" are nauseating. Self-proclaimed "accelerators" and "People connectors" that are all hot air and navel gazing. They only promote each other with vapid LinkedIn testimonials. Who has time for that? We're trying to get real work done. Why can't someone call them out and fire them all.
