Dems need just one decent leader to emerge and all the stain left on the party by the Biden debacle will be removed and forgotten. It won't take much to pass the GOP in the popularity ratings considering the pace Trump is losing support.
I think people are underestimating how deeply unpopular Democrats have become in recent years. This isn't simply Biden's fault. It's local progressive Democrats in counties, school boards, city councils and so on. Democrats could run a mainstream presidential candidate, but all across the ballot candidates like Charles Allen - to use an example - will continue to repel normal people from voting for Democrats. The DC Council is all progressives. Absolutely no one wants that. But that is what the Democratic brand is in most communities.
No people want someone to stand up to Trump and people like you. The democrats keep attacking and pushing aside progressive and they push this Israel first mentality. This is why they are unpopular and struggle to beat a losers like Trump. Why vote democrat if it is just the same sh#t you and Trump push down everyone’s throat. People want a choice

No, it's Biden's fault. We're talking about national elections in this forum; not local politics. Biden's weak leadership and weak communication skills allowed the GOP to effectively fabricate and deliver the Biden agenda to the American people better than Biden could. When your opponent is doing your messaging for you, you're going to lose. Biden is the definition of a loser.
It's both. Biden was weak and ineffective, and the downstream party apparatchiks were often worse. Local politicians oftentimes were much further left of center, vocally and actively amplifying already deeply unpopular policy positions and the spending that went along with them. It was a house of cards, but many left-wing major big city and progressive county/state leaders have yet to comprehend the extent to which their policies were, and continue to be, repudiated by the electorate, an electorate which could see for themselves the social and economic costs and the absence of promised benefits.

No, we lose because we are duped into nominating awful POTUS candidates like Biden.

Trump's approval is under water 44-53
Once we get to consistently sub-40, they’re all going to start turning on each other. Especially if some of these special elections are lost for the R’s in the House.
Why do I feel like the Rs will not lose anymore elections. And not because they are so popular.
I’ve said this many times on Dcum but I will again. States run elections. The Feds do not. Musk and co cannot interfere in all of them.

Why only 10% jump?. It's a complete dumpster fire. I'm surprised I can find anyone that approves.
Yep. Trump by 2028 will be as unpopular or even more unpopular than he was in 2020 and Biden was in 2024. If the GOP is stupid enough to nominate someone associated with Trump in 2028, their candidate will be as weak as Trump 2020 and Biden 2024 which will make for an easy Dem victory in the 2028 POTUS election. History repeating itself.
You’re assuming that with the weaponization of the FBI and DOJ that we will have free and fair elections in 2028. A lot of damage can be done to potential candidates and voting rights when people don’t agree to follow the law.
Yes, it's safe to assume there will be free and fair elections in 2028 and anyone associated with Trump during the 2028 election cycle will be destroyed. This is called "history repeating it self".
Then you have a lot more faith in American institutions and that the USA won’t follow a path to authoritarianism than I do. I hope you’re right but I fear by 2028 there will be little to vote on.
Agree. Musky is probably working on a way to take over the voting systems.
After all, one of his employees (Shaotran) studied how to change voting machine votes...
Where did you read that?
He spoke about it.
