Subject: 2013G ECNL Teams
The problem with this being so early is at times, the parents try to control the outcome. It happened last year with a player whose father kept hounding the coach saying she’s received multiple first team offers. Our coach fell for it and offered this player a spot. Fall ended and that player probably played 1 1/2 hours of total minutes the entire season.

Some certainly have. You know that kid that came to one of your practices that did really well? They preempted the try out process. Most top level clubs will have 90% of their roster established in the next 30 days. They will hold out a couple of roster spots in case something special comes to tryouts or a new kid moves into the area but top clubs already know the top age groupers in the area that have the talent to make their squads.
We have made 3 external offers so far but none of our current team has gotten any. The top half know they will, the next 25% are pretty safe and the bottom 25% are at high risk of being cut.
