But why do we even want a trade war? Why is it beneficial for either nation to suffer. The fundamental misconception of MAGA is that trade is a zero sum game, and the only way to grow the US economy is to kneecap every other country.
I honestly think MAGA is all about suffering. They don’t believe anyone will give them a leg up, so they’re willing to knock everyone down.

Farmers won’t apply for green cards for unskilled seasonal workers, and Immigration won’t issue them. Americans won’t do the work. So crops would not be harvested.
But in reality Trump will look the other way and let big Agriculture continue to hire undocumented labor just like every other Administration. Too much $$ at stake not to.
