We retired from federal Svc at age 50 after 20 years of service w a full pension. I can’t imagine what is going to be left of social security and all federal benefits once Trump gets done. I would imagine a 40 or 50 year old will have to work into their 70’s. This will affect the entire workforce, not just Feds. It’s sad for everyone in the work force.

Also born in 79, and I've never heard of this 35 years. Isn't MRA like age 57 or something, and max valuation for retirement annuity at 30 years?

I don’t get the logic. Most if not all are college educated and there seems to always be a place for people that understand how the government works.

Again, 1/3 of all Feds work for the VA or administer Veteran benefits (most not in DC area). For some reason, I don’t think that’s the picture of a Fed somebody has in their head.

I have been wondering this about the future of our workforce, overall, not just government workers. Tech seems like it’s on the path of Bursting in the next couple of decades due to AI and I don’t know what’s next for America other than just doing services for each other.

Why would a fed support Trump? I say we sift them out and fire them because that’s what they voted for. It’s a good way to remove the dead weight.

Is this really true? Maybe there is an employment shift coming and jobs are becoming obsolete. Maybe a basic income will be the only solution. So many people cannot get or keep jobs.

Nova has not become more red. It was not as blue as it was for Biden, but it was at the same level it was for Clinton.
