Wishful thinking. They tried with the DA and now with the DA. So far, ECNL (girls) is undefeated.

There can only be one top dog. Even in professional soccer, generally one league is ranked above all others. In this case, ECNL reigns supreme and don't see that fact changing anytime soon.

Does every NWSL team have an academy? Where do they play?

Regardless not enough NWSL teams to cover the country for their own youth league, but that's the only way I see ECNL losing out is if you get something similar to MLSnext but on the NWSL side.

Believe there are 5 clubs that affiliate with youth academies. 3 play in ECNL (NC Courage, Racing Louisville, and Portland Thorns) and 2 in GA (Houston Dash and OL Reign).

There were more clubs affiliated to youth academies when the DA was around.

Is it unusual for a leader in a club to leave mid-season? That seems so much more disruptive than moving over the summer. Did CC coach any of the GA teams or was he “just” the TD over all of them?

There’s plenty of people that are aware of the fact that FCV don’t have field space for next year outside of this Loudoun conspiracy that you’re imagining. When you say FCV has fields for next season, you’re being deceptive because most people think next season is fall 24-spring 25, not spring 24, which most people would consider this season.

What do you want them to say exactly? That those who stick around are basically band members on the titanic? Or that whatever happens they will have your DDs best interest in mind? 😏

The announcement regarding the practice fields is probably a good indicator of where this is headed. #TheFutureisVRSC

1. We have fields, at least for the Spring.

2. BP, with TSJ’s full support, has taken the lead in recruiting CC’s successor and sees this as an opportunity to move the club to the next level.

Of course, that will be difficult to say if they don’t have fields and BP is leaving too.
