She’ll go. The whole team will go. There will be smiles and photographs and a brief quote from Biden. Then it will be over.

Best line from the story: "A spokesperson for the Obamas declined to comment." Like, do we really want to be associated in any way with this toxic player?
And look at Clark's comments. Appropriate and congratulatory. Do you think Reese would have responded the same way if roles were reversed. Hell, no. I don't think she's able to dial it down.
It's gone beyond the gesture now (which was overblown and treated unfairly). This young woman is an arrogant attention seeker. It's over shadowing her play on the court and sad.
She is also showing herself to be an awful teammate. Her little fit overshadows all of their accomplishments.
Please she is the only reason they made. In soccer they say you need 8 piano movers and 3 piano players. The ratio applies to all team sports. The piano movers are easily replaced and alway think they are irreplaceable.

Anonymous wrote:Why do they invite the winning team to the White House at all? I get it for pro sports but it makes no sense to just invite a couple of high profile teams in college sports to the exclusion of the rest of the champions.
From a coverage perspective, NCAA football and men's basketball would probably be the only two they should include if they really find it necessary to further disrupt the lives of college kids with a trip after their seasons are done.
