On Tue, Feb. 7 at 6:30 p.m., the Arlington School Board will hold a Work Session on the topic of Opioids and Substance Use in APS: Education and Prevention. The meeting is open to the public, but no public comment is accepted. Simultaneous interpretation in Spanish will be available, and a recording of the meeting will be made available in other languages after the meeting.

School Board meetings can be viewed live online or on Comcast Channel 70 or Verizon Channel 41. Agendas and additional information are available in BoardDocs.

The dispatch call from 911 literally said it was a potential overdose- go listen for yourself. No one is making anything up.

I was curious about this because a possible OD could be a billion things. Essentially kid has an altered mental state and folks are being very cautious.

An ambulance was called. There is zero indication or evidence that there was an OD. Classes are normal. Don't spread misinformation or drama.

Did they transport the kid? I heard they said Narcan was not administered- breathing was normal but the person was an an altered level of conciousness.

As someone who's child is an epileptic, sometimes episodes can look like this.

That person likely also believes all the “this police officer went into shock/convulsions/ cardiac arrest merely from being in the same room as fentanyl!” Stories that cops love to put out.
