Media is going to wait as the story just gets bigger and juicier. With 16 felony charges, millions of dollars involved, bank transfers, Dubai connection, luxury cars, elderly and veteran victims, covid connection, related companies receiving funds, bankruptcy, and DOJ monitoring it will become a story. Probably when MD prosecutors, MD AG, or MHIC make a news release. Just look at the releases these organizations make and it is clear this one will warrant a release and probably a courthouse steps interview as the cases go to trial. If I was media, I would be monitoring and waiting. Nearly every week more is offered making the story more outrageous. Someone doing their homework will have a nice story to release at the right time. Who knows, maybe when we hear from Omar the story will be about how everyone's thinking was wrong. IMO
