Maryland's Attorney General's office filed an opposition to Omar's bankruptcy motions for 2004 examinations. Their filing included opposition to all of the 2004 examinations filed against creditors and Steele Communications. They are very clear in their filing that they are actively investigating Amr Elrahimy and his companies.

Would bankruptcy court be waiting for disposition of the criminal cases?

Appears Omar's 90 day bankruptcy plan to financial freedom is taking another hit. US Trustee (DOJ) is requesting the court extend the date for filing an opposition to Omar's discharge to 11/27/23. This is just the cutoff to file an objection. I think this means he is looking at 2024 before getting a discharge? He is going to be living under the bankruptcy cloud and scrutiny for some time? Makes you wonder how he will explain how he is able to maintain his current lifestyle since he admitted in the 341 that prior to filling bankruptcy he was having to get family support and sold some vehicles just before bankruptcy because he needed funds for basic living expenses. I wonder if there is any data that correlates bankruptcy case duration to the probability of bankruptcy denial and criminal charges to the US AG?

Hell yeah! I mean literally everything is in public record and we could even link things we've downloaded from pacers, casesearch, and 341 court transcripts if we really wanted to. Nothing was made up here so it's far from defamation. All this feels like is just him trying to bully people into submission. Amr is far from being a victim and if he really wanted to make things right he would give us back our money instead of riding around in his sports cars and renting a mansion.

If its not in front of a judge we can say no right? It seems more like intimidation then anything else and also a bit desperate....

Lol listed with Optimum Group is an Optimum Investors.... I'm sorry but who is going to invest in any of this after Amr Elrahimy has 16 and counting felony cases, is in bankruptcy court, has committed numerous cases of fraud, and have abandoned some 37 projects that we know of. Like wtf. Oh and leaving out his Dubai failings and GRIP supercar events being paid with Optimum Construction money. Yeah this looks fine. Totally nothing wrong here....

LOL so old Amr Elrahimy of Optimum Construction is trying to intimidate victims. Real class act right here. So he gets to parade around in his GRIP events and after all the people he's hurt he's still trying to play the victim.

According to my understanding this would be Amr Elrahimy of Optimum Group Inc. Per the bankruptcy disclosure, the attorney filing the @10 motions against creditors is being paid by Optimum Group Inc. Interesting that a party not named in the bankruptcy can do this. But I am sure they know what they are doing. IMO

Media is going to wait as the story just gets bigger and juicier. With 16 felony charges, millions of dollars involved, bank transfers, Dubai connection, luxury cars, elderly and veteran victims, covid connection, related companies receiving funds, bankruptcy, and DOJ monitoring it will become a story. Probably when MD prosecutors, MD AG, or MHIC make a news release. Just look at the releases these organizations make and it is clear this one will warrant a release and probably a courthouse steps interview as the cases go to trial. If I was media, I would be monitoring and waiting. Nearly every week more is offered making the story more outrageous. Someone doing their homework will have a nice story to release at the right time. Who knows, maybe when we hear from Omar the story will be about how everyone's thinking was wrong. IMO

I think the staff is thinking - it was Omar, so I am ok. Not sure that is a good position to take as more and more comes out. As an example: I recently interviewed an individual, wanted to hire them, but they failed the background check due to a felony conviction. Something did not seem right as the individual seemed competent and qualified. Turned out, by simply supporting/assisting a family member who committed tax fraud they were charged too. Spent six month in prison, then house arrest, and is now struggling to get a job due to a felony conviction. The state might be happy with convicting Omar. But I would be worried about the potential for federal charges that could be coming.
