No, zero Republicans support the voting rules legislation proposed by Democrats to federalize elections.

Again, it isn't federalizing elections, it is creating minimum standards for all us voters. AND, it is well within the specific purview of the US Constitution.

Why do you hate America so much that you don't want to maximize the number of Americans who can vote legally and safely and have their votes counted?

Let’s start with a national requirement to show proof of ID at the voting polls. One uniform system across the country - much like the requirements for the REAL ID. Let’s start with that and go from there.

Why? We already have voter ID - your signature.

Did we need voter ID in the elections from 1776 to 2004? Why not? What’s different now?

It is a voting RULES bill. Something the Constitution states that is left to the states to set.

Try again:

Remember, in the US Constitution, there is this section:

The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.

So the right wing assertion that these bills are an attempt at Federalizing the voting is misleading, as the Constitution specifically lays out the Congressional role in voting regulations.

Yup, and not one conservative, “rationale” or otherwise, has even come close.

The fascist posters have pretended they didn’t see all the posts that proved them wrong. Truly, whoever that PP is: good on ya for trying to show these fools that they’re wrong, that voter rights need to be protected and that the GOP won’t do it because they need to cheat.

Thanks. 🇺🇸

They aren't. And, there are no voter restriction laws. Not for legal, registered voters.

Are there laws out there that are aimed at restricting the number of legal, registered voters from voting? Yes, yes there are. And GOPers can't gaslight the rest of us into believing that isn't your intention in passing them.
