Yes, this is concerning. They should increase the time necessary to life the mask mandate. Instead of 7 maybe 14 or even 21 days. And then allow for some fluctuation before reinstating a mask mandate. Because constantly going back and forth is ridiculous in terms of formal policy/mandate.
This may end up happenign what the Council (acting as Board of Health) meets on Tuesday.

Wouldn’t that make more sense?

What’s your definition of “when Covid is gone”? Because Covid is here to stay just like the flu just like the common cold. You realize that don’t you? That would mean masks forever. I don’t think people want that.
Duh.

Anonymous wrote:If people put in as much effort to follow the guidelines and protocols of our health officials that they put into trying to defy science at every turn, then maybe this pandemic would be relegated by now and mask mandates would no longer be needed?
Of course, that will never happen since half of this country's raison d'être is to own the libs and will never comply to logic and sensibility. So here we are.

Anonymous wrote:It’s a perfectly sane policy and in line with CDC guidance. Wear masks when levels are higher than a certain number. Give folks a few days to plan and business to prepare. This is going to be forever. Makes perfect sense to me. Nothing is restricted. No one is panicking. Wear masks when the community transmission levels are above the number. Optional when below.
Easy. Sensible
