Any updates on Pride’s A team? I keep thinking it’s hot yo happen as there are so outstanding players on that team who go to top private schools and deserve a spot at a top college.

Looks like MCE only group of 23s in the area without a commit now with Rebels landing one yesterday.

Clemson is going to be at the top of the ACC battling UNC, BC in no time.

Not only is GA really developing some lax talent, who doesn't want to go south for school?

GA… As in Georgia? Clemson isn’t in Georgia. And lots of people don’t want to go South for school. Southern States and Southern schools (with a very few outstanding and well known exceptions) are some of the worst places in the country with much higher rates of poverty, illiteracy, misogyny, racism and about everything else wrong with this country. Plus with fast rising temperatures and sea levels many of those places will be all but uninhabitable in a few decades. I say that as a born and bred Southerner. Basically every other region of the US is a better choice for a young woman to go to college.

I knew I should have mentioned my point of Clemson being in SC and 90 min from Atlanta which is a developing hotbed of lax because somebody was going to state how Clemson isn’t in GA. You are missing the point.

Point is, it’s very appealing and as much as I love UMD, Clemson SC is much more appealing then College Park, MD which is a terrible college town.

Also the southern college experience is not the middle of nowhere southern small town experience so all your facts on poverty, illiteracy is pointless.

College Park hasn’t been a college town for years.

This is crap. There are a good number of schools in the South that are competitive with those in the north (not just Duke and Vandy). The climate is great. The college towns are generally significantly more open and welcoming than you suggest. But, keep spewing the prejudice while claiming to know the South.

Sometimes the truth hurts. But facing facts is pretty important.

So Intro to Calculus at Harvard, which I suppose is for the non-smart kids that get in, is better than at Clemson, or JMU or Christopher Newport. Is Harvard the only school allowed to teach the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus while the other schools are relegated to only teaching differential equations and integrals?

The point, which the obtuse are likely to miss, is that kids can get a good education that sets them up well for life at lots of different schools. There are many paths and many different considerations that go into this process and people shouldn't be so quick to judge. Not everyone's daddy is a highly paid lobbyist or hedge fund manager.

Clemson is a crap school. Anyone who states that Calculus (which a smart kid isn’t taking in college anyway unless it’s multivariate) is the same at Harvard and Clemson has just shown their utter and complete ignorance. It’s the saddest of jokes that these girls are committing to Clemson not only because of the academics but also because that coach is well known for treating players awfully. Just ask a kid who played for her at Richmond.

Recent history and the odds appear well stacked against this statement. Just ask Louisville and VT. And frankly, overall the recent records show that Duke, UVA and ND have been struggling to consistently compete with UNC, BC (and Cuse). Point being: Recently the ACC seems to have “three tiers” - though of course, you still have to pay the games - anything can happen, that’s the fun part.
