I disagree. I am betting on Visi this year. But, either way, its going to be a great game!

In other news on the girls side - BI got whipped by McDonogh 9-3 yesterday.

Newest national top 25 rankings out today had McD at #1 per usual, BI at #6, SSSAS at #8 and Visi at #9.

I assume you are speaking figuratively. Can't imagine that anyone's making a book on that. Hell, I couldn't even find a book in Vegas last year to take action on the NCAA Championships.

If it were at Visi I would bet on them but it's on the grass at SSSA so that could be a factor.

It may have a tiny impact but the truth is that great lax players are able to play on both.

Sorry, that should have said 14-8.

One could nitpick and point out that STA beat SSSA last year, and lost to Prep by only 2 this year. But okay, agree that STA has to do more than just beat Landon once in a decade to show the win was more than a one-off. The only thing I will add to the conversation is that all the anti-STA sentiment seems to me at least, to be borne out of something more (jealousy, class warfare?). Granted, St Albans, is well, St Albans. A name with national cachet and historical significance. It’s easy to begrudge them. But don’t let your jealousy, lack of true self-confidence, or petty self-doubt take away from the pride and happiness of high school boys. The parents may be ass-hats. But the boys are, well, just boys.

Is this satire?

Here’s the Truth. Ya heard it here first. Albans will lose to Ryken tomorrow, demonstrating that the win v Landon was a once in a generation fluke. Every dog may have his day. But the bear wins the war over the dog at the end of the week.

Nobody says "Albans" you imbecile.

STA has a good squad. Landon, Bullis and SSSAS are all better on paper, but anything can happen this year. Prep, though, is not going to win anything. Again.

STA 9 ST. MARY'S RYKEN 7. The predicted win for Ryken, a very scrappy squad, did not occur.

We'll see. They also beat Episcopal last year and only lost to SSSA in the playoffs by 1. If they do lose to ryken, your point is well made though.

Prep 2 - 0

Episcopal 0 - 2

Everyone else is 1 - 1

Yep. All of the tough out-of-conference games is about preparing for the IAC. So far, so good for Prep.
