If this is true, this argument about wins/ losses is stupid.
WRONG. The truly elite talent in our area was, in many instances, already playing up before they came to DCU. The top talent in our area should be completely fine playing a year up against local clubs. The fact that you're saying otherwise shows you know nothing about our area or the talent in our area. Just stick to cutting up the oranges after the game...better use of your time.
The paradox is that those DCU kids are probably the most physical mature for their age which may be why they are playing up.
Regardless, with "professional" training, I would expect my child in any professional academy to develop at 125%-150% of a P2P player in MLS Next. If that is not happening, I am assessing my players work ethic. If they are putting in the work, then I am assessing the training environment.

The dcu academy no longer plays against older non academy age groups?
I thought I heard they play one year up. Did it change?

Heard it was a blowout across all age groups. Absolutely shameful, need new coaches.
DCU U16 lost 3-0 to BA
DCU U17 lost 7-0 to BA
U19 I didn't see but that game would have probably been closer. Maybe DCU ties that game.
DCU u16 lost 1-0 to SYC
DCU u17 lost 2-1 to SYC
DCU u19 tied SYC 1-1
DCU is a straight embarrassment and has no respect or credibility. Locally or nationally.
Like has been said here before, DCU offers you no real advantages the way it is currently setup and with its current staff and development methodology.
I predicted almost a week ago that DCU would lose almost all the games against SYC and Armour. And I predicted the scores pretty much on the money. I'm able to do this because I have seen so much youth football in my career that you know what a team is capable of and its limitations.
DCU teams are not coached well and as a result the game model is basic, predictable and relies alot on physicality. When that physicality is matched, DCU has absolutely no chance to be successful because they actually have to play football to win and they can't do that. Largely because DCU can't teach them how to play.
I don't care if the teams were playing up or the other teams had biobanded players. It doesn't matter. DCU should have the dominant teams in our area whenever they suit up. The fact that they couldn't produce a win across any age group against SYC and scored NO GOALS against Armour is absolutely ridiculous. DCU should be ashamed of themselves and how they are treating the youth in our area. It is a real shame and embarrassment.
But all the status driven parents in our area will continue to be pressed to sign up for it...only in America.
1 F up academy, would expect closer scores
