You aren't the target audience, nothing she'd do would satisfy you. If she'd said nothing, you'd be complaining "why doesn't she say anything? it makes it look like she doesn't even care." If her husband was posting you would complain that he was fighting her battles for her (notice no one is demanding that Emily Baldoni speak up). If she just posted unrelated content you'd say she was hiding something. If she posted nothing at all you'd speculate she was "crashing out" privately.
In a way it doesn't really matter what she does, since she will be attacked by the pro-Baldoni crew no matter what. So she might as well do what she wants, which in this case appears to be exactly what she did.
You are right, but it’s just because most people have not liked Black for years. She’s just really bad at this. Her brand tries to be very aspirational. Her hair line was launched essentially with her saying people have wanted hair like mine my whole life and now you can get it, which is fine. That is definitely one way to go and it works really well for Gwyneth. It doesn’t work for Blake because she has a smugness about her and she’s also deeply insecure and so we see right through it.
Every text exchange Blake had she cannot go more than three or four lines without referencing Ryan. Even to her best friend. She would randomly be texting with Taylor and then say something like “I just love my babies and RR” so much! What? And then when she was reaching out tentatively to Taylor to ask if everything was OK, she even had to say Ryan was like you should ask her and then when she was trying to be vulnerable with Justin early in filming, she even had a caveat, Ryan said I should call you.
And then on the red carpet, Ryan wrote the rooftop scene. Just making sure everyone knew he was a part of this movie and then “look at the Deadpool marquee across the street! I can’t help staring across the street at the marquee of my husband’s movie!” Just at every turn, she can’t do an interview without referencing him and reminding people about him.
It’s incredibly offputting and so yes when we’re seeing more and Blake no matter what she does, it’s going to just be offputting. 100% agree with you that she can’t do anything right because she’s just a deeply unlikable person.
She also can’t even be vulnerable. Her message this whole time that they’ve had the upper hand and that she scored every victory and even this where her fans may give her sympathy - she’s reframing it that they that she didn’t really lose cause they weren’t concerned about sexual harassment anyway. OK so why should anyone even feel sorry for her she won! She wants it both ways and it’s just not working.
You sound completely obsessed with her. This is so many words and so much weird projection. I don't even know anything about her haircare line or what she said about her husband at the premier of her movie.
When I dislike a celebrity, I simply avoid news about them because I don't care. They are a total stranger to me. I don't understand this thing where you obsessively follow every little tidbit about someone you claim to hate. It's like the hate *is* the entertainment for you. It's so, so weird. I almost hope you are some kind of bot plant who is being paid to post this crap because if a real person is spending their time poring over the minutia about a celebrity they claim to dislike this much... how sad.

This. They should be praising Lively for giving them so much entertainment! They are more fans of her than any of the Lively supporters in this thread. I can barely remember the difference between Ryan Reynolds and Ryan Gosling.

Dp, pot meet kettle. You can’t come here reciting reddit posts about trivial details and call someone else obsessed. No ma’am.

It's especially weird because he really hasn't "claimed" or said shit since this whole thing started and was roundly skewered for checking out to Hawaii with his family and letting the lawyers handle it.
This seems like it’s been the right move for Justin. Blake‘s PR strategy is very confusing to me and seems outdated. Also for her to be speaking out so much and for Ryan not to be saying a word makes it seem like they are misaligned. They might not be, but her pouring her heart out in stories and him posting only stories from his soccer team is very stark.
She should just let her PR and lawyers handle it and shut up, but she can’t seem to do that.
See this is why I can't take you guys seriously. Lively has said almost nothing publicly about this case. But she posted a few times after last week's decision. Her posts were not some emotional "crash out." They were measured, vetted statements from her lawyer, Lively herself, and some quotes from the case. And now she's gone back to silence or posting about mom stuff.
So when people say she's "melting down"... she's clearly not melting down. A melt down doesn't involve a measured statement from your lawyer and PR team. And you also say she "can't shut up" about the case, but that's mostly what she's done.
A crash out is what the President does online, or what Shi Laboef has been doing in New Orleans. Not being able to shut up describes that MomTok/Bachelorette lady. It doesn't describe this situation. Why lie?
