Tom Bonier tweeted on December 14, 2023: “In case anyone needs more evidence that abortion rights is the most potent mobilizing force in politics:
Turnout in Ohio’s election this year (with abortion rights on the ballot) was 95% of the 2022 general election.
Turnout among women under the age of 50 was 113% 2022 levels.
There are 657.036 Ohioans who voted in the ‘23 Nov election who did not vote in the ‘22 Nov election. Those voters are +14 women.”
The GOP will keep abusing their idiot voters with the immigration issue, but since it’s an issue that could be resolved and they are choosing not to do so, it’s a fake issue. Women’s bodily autonomy, our basic set of rights is the only issue in the upcoming election and the GOP knows it. And they are effing terrified.

The GOP is hoping to god that there are no pictures of a young, vibrant (blond, White) woman who leaves behind her crying children and her grieving husband because she couldn’t get an abortion and died from complications from a wanted pregnancy.
God forbid she’s an influencer or married to one.

But there will be, because it's inevitable. There's still most of a year to go before the election. Someone who isn't even pregnant yet will be the one to die because of these woman-hating laws.
She might be a newlywed now. Happy, living her life with her new husband. TTC. She’s going to be ecstatic when she gets two pink lines.
