This really is the disgraceful subtext of Walker’s candidacy: In exchange for the prestige of being a U.S. Senator, he promises to vote exactly as he is told on every single issue. He will not be his own man or consider the interests of his constituents in any way whatsoever. Sure, all politicians do this to some degree, but I have never before seen such a cynical bargain so obvious and apparent.
