This sounds like a scene out of Gotham city.

This current spate of violence is a reaction to the lawless cops.

They should vigorously protest until they are arrested.

I bet the police union (headed by racist Trumper) is pushing back on the arrest. Maybe they are saying they will walk out if he’s arrested. Who knows what those amoral jerks will do “to protect their own”.

Even the mayor is questioning why they haven’t been arrested.

I know many articles state it was over a forged check, but is that a fact? I would really like to see a timeline of what led up to the arrest and subsequent murder. In a case like this there really needs to be transparency.

To the poster above, I think it's obvious that this cop had no idea what he is doing. Common sense tells you that you shouldn't put any weight on the side of someone's neck. These guys get minimal training, but that is no excuse for what he did. Trust me, that technique is not trained. I wonder what was going through the heads of the other officers? Did they think that he wasn't putting any pressure on his neck? Putting your shin on someone's face isn't uncommon.

Can someone please help me understand. The cops had to know they were killing Floyd. Why else would they call an ambulance? Floyd appeared perfectly healthy before the incident. There is additional outdoor store surveillance video showing him complying with police while being handcuffed. What I don’t understand is, if the cop’s maneuver was really intended to only subdue Floyd and not harm him, then why did they radio in that he was under distress?? It just doesn’t make sense to me. Anyone that watched that very sad video would likely agree he was dead before they put him in the ambulance. The ambulance crew didn’t even attempt to work on him. How can the hospital state that he died 1 hour after arrival? This just all makes no sense and me sick to my stomach. It is not just the cops. I think the ambulance staff and possibly even hospital staff were prepared to help with the coverup. This makes me wonder how often this sort of thing happens. Unfortunately I would not be surprised if the coroner report helps support the cops.

He was murdered. There are multiple witnesses and multiple videos to back a murder charge. The officer committed a crime, and should have been arrested/held/booked on a murder charge. And, in a banana republic the cop would go free...just like what is happening now.

A lot of people are murdered and not immediately arrested. It sounds like you have never worked as a police officer or a prosecutor. The US system is far from perfect. Maybe you could go to Mexico and report back on their justice system.

That is true. But in this case there is overwhelming evidence that a crime was committed. In the US you can be arrested just for being the wrong color in the wrong place.

And we’re not talking about Mexico, we’re talking about the US...so stop deflecting.
