This is consistent with what I heard. There was little movement except for one of the younger age groups in which several players switched from Arlington to McLean.

No. The ECNL is about protecting its existing clubs. You really think Mclean wants Arlington girls in the ECNL? Mclean success was built on being the only game in town pre da. They had their pick of players from DC, Alexandria, Arlington, 1/2 of Fairfax and some from lower Moco. Mclean can not let Arlington get in to the ECNL.
As McLean’s 04 and younger squads age up, it will be clear they don’t have the draw and competitiveness they had in the past. Given the current landscape, they won’t be a destination club anytime soon or perhaps ever.
And that all depends on the GAL. If it isn’t what it’s cracked up to be, players will bolt. I’m sure plenty of FCV and Metro girls already did, Arlington teams probably holding out hope for ECNL next year. If they don’t join, it’ll be a drip drip drip of players the older it gets.
Not if the teams at mclean are weak. They will go to other clubs. The way it works is the strong teams attract strong players. DA started 2017 for girls...that’s would be the 05’s. How are McLean’s 06’s and below?
And as some other posters noted, Arlington GA has really upped their college recruiting help. Not sure if it will pay off but I guess we'll see with their 04s.

We trust that you are well and staying safe. Over the next few weeks, we will continue to send regular updates including information about plans for when we can return to the field, the tryout and team formation process, and coaching assignments. In the meantime, we wanted to share some news about our DA program.
Arlington Soccer is excited to join the Girls Academy (GA). The GA has unified more than 50 of the 60 current Girls DA clubs to create a national platform which will uphold the defining standards of the DA while adding flexibility to enhance player development. Coach Nicci Wright will continue to lead the girls’ program as GA Director.
As mentioned before, we do not anticipate any changes to the travel team structure in the club. Arlington Soccer remains dedicated to providing the best environment for training, development, and competition for all players on all of our teams at all levels of league play.
Weak. You post you own clubs internal emails.
Why is it weak
