For some applicants the acceptance rate at STA or Sidwell will always be 100%. This is true of any highly sought after private.

You know, the Obamas came to town in Sept/ Oct '08 to look at a few short list schools. Does anyone seriously think they needed to sweat it out like the rest of us. Same with kids of POTUS Chief of Staff- got right in at Maret post election when normally that would have been a closed window.

And if your kid is very bright and a serious athletic talent very likely almost any DC Private would offer them a spot.

For the rest of the very wealthy and connected law partner, etc.. might have to sweat out the 50/50 odds ( maybe 70/30)

For the average Fed employee who needs FA but has a really smart kid- now you are talking the 1.7 % admit rates you see quoted here.

this isn't accurate. STA's graduating class is considerably smaller (approx. 80 at STA v. approx. 125 at Sidwell).


Let’s see… 62 boys graduating at Sidwell, 80 at STA. How is my statement inaccurate?
