Please, please, can someone tell me that 20+ high integrity Republican Senators are having private conversations about when to jump ship collectively? That would make me feel so much better that all Republicans haven't completely abandoned their pledge to our constitution.

“President Trump faces increasing public and private scrutiny from his own party over a series of recent White House moves, as the House impeachment inquiry reduces his margin for error with fellow Republicans and makes him more vulnerable to attacks.”

He isn't going to "get off" - the only question is if the GOP want to take the chance that they will be electorally rewarded for not removing him.

UMM he is in the house not the Senate. Why does this even matter?

If enough Republicans in the House vote to impeach, it will give Republican Senators cover to convict.

He is also on the House Foreign Affairs Committee so has been in all these hearings with all the witnesses. It suggests that the hearings are indeed bringing damaging information to light.

Not a single Republican on any committee has come out and said "This is a nothingburger." They're arguing about the process, not the substance. That tells me they know Trump has committed impeachable offenses, they're just scrambling to find a technicality that will get him off.

Although, with each passing day, I think more and more Republicans are thinking "Maybe this is our opportunity to be done with this lunatic."

And last week that number was 8%.
The dems need to be keep applying pressure. It’s working.

Well, tell us.

Three years ago, I would say I was wearing a tin-foil hat, but I am going to guess that the Deibold and other electronic voting machines have been controlled for years, and evidence of that is in the RNC hack. There are too many instances of exit polling that conflicted with the results. Something that simply didn't happen before 2000.

I agree.

Shit! This is infuriating and terrifyingly plausible.

Haz I’ve been saying this on here since 2016 and the names that some of you called me, and that’s when you didn’t report the post and Jeff removed it. I guess it’s nice to see that so many of you can see the very simple plausibility of this theory.

I simply haven’t any idea how we would find proof of this and it’s clear that when Republicans have a conscience, they either quit political life or quit the Republican Party. I’d like to think they’ll turn on Trump, but in reality it’s more like biting your own leg.

I don’t know if pp’s speculation is correct, but it seems logical to assume that if they had all the same information that we have, they would have removed Trump long ago. The man is a danger.

There is an X factor, something that we don’t know. And more likely than not, it is forcing the Republicans’ hands.

Hard to defend the indefensible. Bottom line, if the Senate does along with the idea that Doral can host the G7, then we have no more rule of law, and Trump will just get more brazen (if that is possible.)
