That seems....like fraud.
The fact is that you typically have until a given date around April 15th of each year to file the previous year's taxes. In certain circumstances you can requests extensions, up to 6 months to file. If you file incorrectly, you have up to 3 years to file an amended tax return. Since this covers 2011-2020, that means that tax years 2011-2018 are all outside of the amendment period and that any errors, are considered fraudulent.
At this point, unless Trump can show explicitly to the IRS that any errors in the 2011-2018 tax years are in the government's favor, that constitutes felony tax fraud.
Hopefully the NY DA will be aggressive in asking for court judgment on this case.
