Not one team finished in the top 20 and most of the teams were in the bottom 3rd. That being said, the way the brackets worked, teams were playing other teams of similar caliber. For example, the top MA team, South Carolina, lost every game but those games were against the top teams in the country, including PDA, which has smashed every team that it has played, including FCV and PennFusion.
McLean has played a pretty competitive schedule and was a finalist in the competitive top bracket at JeffCup.
We will see how these teams perform at Nationals but I assume even if they do well, this crowd will not give McLean credit.
McLean 05 Dad meet MU 05 of Dad (or is it women?)
Maybe you guys can talk about how MU05 dad ripped apart the McLean 05 team with backdoor recruiting.
This is true. One of the 05 dads recruited a bunch of players from McLean at the start of this season/end of last. Hence, the 9 plus players, all starters, left McLean for Arlington, MU, FCV.
And now these players, former McLean starters, lost to the team that finished below McLean in league play and got only 1 point from 6 possible points when playing against McLean.
What team is that?

Congrats. I’m glad it made your year.
It just shows where the talent is at. While I don't think our MU team will challenge FCV next season, even our less than stellar team beat one of the MA ECNL best.
MU actually be the MD Spirit at the end of the year. Things are looking up.

McLean coaching being a Ferrari whereas VDA and bryc are 2003 Hyundai’s.
If the McLean coaches are so good and BRYC's so bad, why are the programs even in the ECNL standings (BRYC is ahead in three age groups, McLean is ahead in the other three) despite McLean having a huge rec program and (so we're repeatedly told) being the premier ECNL destination for talent in the region.
Seems like those Ferraris should being doing better against the Hyundais.
I think the BRYC coaching comments are more a matter of likability more so than coaching ability. At least one has a very polarizing personality.
