I'm just gonna keep on posting this on every single abortion thread.
Also, every single damn person whinging about "post-birth abortion" (which does not exist) is MORALLY OBLIGATED to advocate for universal access to long-term birth control. If you are not, STFU. Seriously, STFU.
You're really all about the nanny state.
The concept of people being responsible for themselves simply escapes you.
DP.. the concept of letting a woman choose what to do with her own body escapes you. Talk about nanny state.
I'm going to keep posting this -- MANDATORY VASECTOMIES FOR MEN. Almost every baby will be wanted. Reduces teen pregnancies.
If you think it's ok to make a woman carry a baby for whatever reason, then it should be ok to make a man not be able to make a baby at will. I'm sure you would agree, that an abortion is worse than a vasectomy.
Exactly. If you are against the "nanny state," then let doctors and patients decide on medical care.
Who decides for the child?
THE MOTHER. The human who has to carry the thing inside her for 40 weeks.
Are you really this ignorant of all the people who were born prematurely (way before 40 weeks)? I bet some of your own friends were born prematurely. Lucky for you, their mothers allowed them to live! Thank about it, my friend.
We are all wondering about your mother...did she make the right choice? Just not sure...

Cheaper than 18+ years of food, housing, college, etc.
Or extensive medical bills if the child had a serious health issue.
If you don't want the baby, no one will force you to keep the baby. You know that, don't you?
Well, a woman might not be willing to die in order so her severely deformed child can languish for years unwanted in foster care. We’re not talking about the beautiful, healthy white babies that barren religious people are paying $50k a pop for or the charmingly moderately disabled kids that “enrich their parents lives with so much joy.”
The experts I have heard (OBGYNs, mostly) have said it is more dangerous on a woman's health to undergo a late term abortion than childbirth.
Why don't you tell us what you think happens in a late-term abortion? What about the procedure is more dangerous? Do you even know what goes on?
Here is one case. The woman actually went through childbirth. Her baby's heart was stopped by a drug and then she was induced to deliver. She just did it much earlier in the pregnancy than she would have if she had had to wait until 40 weeks. So it was somewhat easier on her body because the baby was smaller.
So what was more dangerous in this scenario than if she had had to wait 8 more weeks to deliver a larger baby that would die shortly after birth? In fact had she waited she would have had to have major abdominal surgery -- a C section -- to deliver. You probably think that is what she should have been forced to do.

This. I'm not sure why the right wing thinks banning abortions is going to prevent abortions.
Providing health care and sex ed prevents abortions.

What on earth is an abortion doctor doing to get $15,000. for doing a partial birth abortion?
Wow. His Rambo security team can't cost that much!
