My husband's law school graduation speaker was Rev. Jesse Jackson, who was struggling mightily with a recent fracture and was clearly not himself. I'll never forget seeing Bill Clinton while he was shopping for the holidays during his first term. Iwas in my late 20's. It was at Georgetown Mall and was of course a staged photo op, but the sheer charisma surrounding him...his smile radiated across the Mall, literally. I saw him again over 20 years later, and that same presence was "there," again, even when I was at a considerable difference. Both situations illuminated what a magnetic presence can "feel" like, and I could imagine how that same presence could be very disruptive even as it could channel a lot of good works.
I've seen Rev Jackson multiple times and it's always underwhelming, like he's high on something and quite aloof. Not sure why he's hyped so much.
Yes, I agree. I’ve met him and seen him again. Both times, he seemed completely out if it. He was pleasant though.

The ones I've met are all Canadians from or visiting Vancouver, so no interesting stories- they were all low key and no one was bothering them and they were acting like normal humans.
I will say that Chad Kroeger, Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Ludwig, Ryan Gosling and Ryan Reynolds are surprisingly tall and surprisingly angular, definitely appear too skinny IRL, yet all have "it" and are amazingly attractive IRL. I'm not into any of them but after meeting them I 'got it'.
I've met a few woman but that didn't stick with me as much especially as they all had no makeup. All were definitely shorter than you would think. Oh, and Pamela Anderson is lovely, cute and funny and whip-smart. Really quick on the draw, insightful and good with one-liners if she feels like being vocal. She is actually one of the wittiest people I've ever met. Our parents were friends growing up, she and her brother are about a decade older than we were and she is well loved on the island where we grew up.

Feels like each time I'm home in Chicago, I run into someone famous.
I was in a long line at Garrett's Popcorn years ago and Tyra Banks walked up behind me to get in line. She was nearly unrecognizable in sweats and big sunglasses. Super tall. She was so so nice. I was surprised she wouldn't just send some lackey out for her cheese popcorn fix.
Was hanging out with my Mom and ran into Vince Vaughn. REALLY tall guy. My mom had no idea who he was but ran up to him and said she was his biggest fan and loves his work. He stood and talked to us for a few minutes as if he had nothing better to do. So gracious
