In all of the family and friends' weddings I have experienced, in all my years - the worst, most selfish and most persistent guests were the parents who insisted that their baby or toddler attend an all adults wedding. Those are the parents who do NOT take their child out of the ceremony or reception when the child starts making noise - even if they promised to do so! The bride and groom do NOT owe you an explanation - it is their day, not yours. Family is great, and family respects the bride and groom's wishes. It is not that difficult.

^^^ you are wrong. Many people can’t stand the chatter of a baby. It’s not as cute to anyone else as it is to you. Families are also not “about children.” There is plenty more to them than that.
