Totally agree. I didn't understand at all why Tom and other family members were so insistent that Mary really did love what's-his-name. She's rejected much more interesting men before!
And when the Dowager told her to make things right with Edith, I don't think she meant that Mary should go ahead and make her perfect life while Edith continues to suffer.
I love that family members finally called out Mary for being a bitch. Especially Cora's line about Mary acting jealous.
