If this is true, nearly 5% of Floridians have concealed carry permits. That's horrifying.

Florida is considered a “shall-issue” state, which allows any individual that meets the requirements to obtain a concealed weapons permit.
The applicant must be 21 years of age, pass mental health tests, have a clean criminal record and take a gun safety course to be eligible for a concealed weapons permit, according to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
So the state of Florida MUST (no discretion) issue a concealed weapons permit (in other words, so someone can carry a handgun in public, without any of his or her unsuspecting vict . . . er, fellow citizens knowing) to anyone over 21 years old UNLESS he or she is crazy (and by crazy, they mean previously adjudicated as mentally defective or incapacitated, or actually committed to an institution - no mental health assessment is performed at the time you apply for damn thing), or been convicted of a felony (or one of another very limited set of crimes). That fits pretty squarely within my definition of "giving anyone a gun."

PP, case in point. No psych eval to have a gun. Thanks for confirming.
Yes you do , see the part about need to pass mental health tests.
No, you don't. You have to not have been "adjudicated incapacitated, adjudicated as a mental defective, or committed to a mental institution[.]"

so youre saying that peoples feelings are not affected by imagery? (doesnt change the major trajedy that occurred, doesnt make the child deserve anything, but in every single event we go to in our lives, appearances affect the way people think, its all part of PR)

IMHO, they let just anyone have a gun. Yes, it is a problem.
